What is Renko?

Renko are invented in Japan and comes from the Japanese word "Renga" which means "Brick". Renko charts focuses on fixed price movements and ignores the time aspect. When the price moves a specific amount that is pre-determined by the user, a new brick is created.

Renko charts are very powerful and attractive due to it's ability to filter out the noise and provide a better representation of market structure.

FAQs

How to Install a Chartbook in Sierra Chart:

1. Download and Save: Save your Chartbook file (.CHT) in the following directory: C:\SierraChart\Data.
2. Open Sierra Chart Platform: Launch the Sierra Chart platform and navigate to the File tab.
3. Access Chartbook: From the File menu, select 'Open Chartbook' and locate your saved Chartbook.CHT file.
4. Update Chart Contracts: Ensure all charts are updated to the current contract.

Important Notes:

• Time Zone Adjustment: The Chartbook is based on New York time (-5 EST/-4 EDT).
• Adjust your Global Settings accordingly: Go to Global Settings >> Time Zone Settings >> Choose New York (-5 EST/-4 EDT).
